wy live in Barcelona
So I went to Barcelona to check out Sonar, side-events and to do a “show” of my own.
Actually, I thought at the moment that I was not ready for performing live (I still do think that): not enough songs, not yet the hardware to perform (including a midi set-up + laptop as a sampler —–> not to be seated in front of the laptop, being terribly pale by the light and having no interaction whatsoever towards the audience) BUT rather using the latop as a tool, as a means of storing (storage), and kind of making a piano (through a midikeyboard) with your own sounds instead of strings and hammers – if you want an explanation….).
The reason why I accepted, whas that it was in Barcelona, and that there, no one knew me —–> the factor of “nothing to loose”
The show was on Friday the 13th, an element used a bit here and there (visuals + quote of Joan Armatrading “I’m lucky, I can walk under ladders”)

Live
Post-Eat and the visuals
There, show is over, it was a bit too long…
I did chatter about…
But, what pleased me the most that the songs I liked best, and that I had worked on the most (and that were most recent) , well, they were the best songs…
I still have a lot to learn, but as a first gig, this was really not bad. I am really really glad I had this opportunity, because it gave me the proverbial kick in the b*tt, I worked like a madwoman the months before (because all my stuff was half-finished).
After the show, somebody very very nice gave me this:
Yummy! (understatement)
How food goes to the right place! (not only the stomach, nono)
All this would not have been possible without Lo-Bat
& Constant
I hope they know that…
(that my appreciation should not be underestimated…)
